The Grill Room & Bar in Portland Maine is looking for an experienced Sous Chef. The Sous Chef must be hands-on, knowledgeable of all sanitation procedures and be able to train staff to adhere to all city and company policies. Responsible for food quality and production in all outlets and banquets based on current food trends and regional tastes.
Overall responsibility for activities of kitchen staff, and other personnel involved in preparing, cooking and presenting food in accordance with quality standards, productivity standards, cost controls, and forecast needs. Monitors team performance, product quality and production flow. Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. Will assist the Executive Chef to train, supervise, counsel, and evaluates staff on a continuous basis.
3 Years Previous Restaurant Experience Required.
